Hey everyone! I’m Michaella — a stay-at-home mom, student, published author, Twitch streamer, and someone who lives and breathes books.

 

I know how overwhelming and expensive it can be to bring a book to life. Whether you’re just starting out or chasing a dream on a tight budget, I want to help. Since publishing in 2023, I’ve learned a lot: from formatting and cover design to editing, publishing, and even the legal side of things.

 

My books have received 5-star reviews, and I was honored with 3rd place in short fiction for the Tennessee Mosaic Anthology through Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. I’ve done book signings at Barnes & Noble, attended conventions and author events, and I’m passionate about supporting and advocating for other writers.

✨ I believe in accessible help. I work on an honor system: Pay what you can. I’m happy to help with passion projects — but I do ask for open, respectful communication, especially for larger tasks. I want to make sure we’re both comfortable and clear on expectations before diving in, and if you can’t pay, just be honest — we can work something out like a shoutout, testimonial, or helping spread the word. 😊

 

🎨 What I Use + My Process:

 

🖌️ Cover & Character Art:

I’ve done digital art since 2008 and now create character illustrations and full cover designs — including for my own upcoming Webtoon! I use Krita (no AI), and work with a keyboard/mouse setup. You’ll get concept sketches, WIPs, and final files in formats you can use: PDFs for print, PSDs with layers for authenticity, and more. I'll keep working with you until we make something you love.

 

📖 Formatting:

I have formatted with Word and Google Docs in the past, and now I prefer Atticus — which reduces print cost issues and offers clean, professional results. One of my books dropped from $8 to $4 per author copy just from using Atticus!

 

🖋️ Editing:

I offer full-spectrum editing: developmental, line editing, copyediting, and proofreading — tailored to where you’re at in your process.

 

🌱 Why I Do This:

I’m a go-getter with ADHD, lots of heart, and an unshakable love for storytelling. I used to work as a CNA, but after being laid off during COVID while pregnant, I became a full-time mom. I returned to school, rediscovered my writing dreams, and finally published the book I’d been dreaming of since I was 17 in 2023.

 

I have time, passion, and experience — ready to help others.
